Once on This Island is a coming-of-age one-act stage musical with a book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty, centered around Ti Moune, who falls in love with Daniel. It is a Caribbean-set retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Little Mermaid. In this flipped Vancouver premiere production, Brianna Clark portrayed a light-skinned Ti Moune, and Michael Gnansounou portrayed a dark-skinned Daniel.
